Getting close to a month

Hi everyone!
Someone up there must like us; we had an easy pregnancy followed by an easy labor, easy delivery and now an easy baby!! Of course Annabelle does cry sometimes, but usually it's something easy to fix like a dirty diaper or she's hungry. She's doing pretty well lifting her head when she's lying on her stomach, and she is spending more time awake and looking around every day. She's also growing quite a bit, and was above her birth weight by her two week checkup. (Newborns lose water weight in their first two days, and she lost a bit more than they like to see but as long as they're back at birth weight by two weeks, there's no reason to worry.) David's parents came to visit, so Annabelle has met one set of her grandparents. She seemed to enjoy it pretty well, although she slept through a lot of the visit :). She got to look at a bunch of new faces and had a few adventures; she even went to her first museum! I'll try and post more frequently now that things are settling down, although Grandma and Granddad are on their way in this weekend. I have slowly started to go back to school, so I think we're starting to get a routine down, slowly but surely. Hope everyone is doing well!

Well, I'm sure you've all heard that Annabelle is here!! She was born on Friday, February 13 at 1:55 am and weighed in at 6 pounds 14 ounces, 17 3/4 inches long. Shes' been doing very well, although we've had a few VERY late nights. She still sleeps a lot and is generally eating when she is awake. (Or falling asleep while eating :) ) She lost some weight in the hospital, as all newborns do, but she was back up to 6# 6 oz at her lactation appointment last week and at her two week check today she weighed in at 7# 2 oz, which is awesome!! She had a little bit of a growth spurt, and is now 18 3/4 inches long. Right now she is sleeping on David's chest, one of her favorite spots. I'll post a few photos here, but facebook uploads them much better so there's a lot more on there. Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Baby Shower

Nina and Holly had a shower for us yesterday, and it was tons of fun! We are going to have a very well clothed baby :-). Enjoy the photos!

Baby's Room!

It's not 100% complete, but it's pretty darn close. Check out the new baby's room!! We went to the doctor today, nothing exciting to report. Still growing at the right rate, the baby is still head down, and it still has a good strong heartbeat. Only 6 weeks to go!

Hello everyone!! Not really much to report about the baby--it's getting bigger and bigger, and it has worked it's little feet up into my ribs. It is head down though, which is good. We're 33 weeks along today, so in less than two months we should have our little bundle. Dave built a new entertainment center in order to get all the cords and such off the floor and away from little hands. We should be able to get the crib in a few days, so we'll have all the major things ready for his/her arrival. Just playing the waiting game at this point! People keep telling me that the first one is late, so I'm trying to prepare myself for that, but I am certainly ready to have a baby in place of this big belly!
