We have Movement!

Last Wednesday evening while I was sitting at services, I felt something in my belly that I thought could be the baby. I wasn't 100% sure, but I thought that's probably what it was. The next morning I felt similar movements. On Saturday night after the OU-Texas game I had a salad for dinner and Dave and I were laying around watching football, and the baby has apparently learned gymnastics. (Or REALLY likes salad!) It was sure movement, Dave felt it too. It's not happening all the time and I still have to be paying attention and sitting pretty still to notice it, but the baby is awake and kicking!

We've got photos! The ultrasound doesnt' exactly show skin very well on the baby's face, so it looks a little strange but the feet and side views came out well. The baby's actually big enough that we couldn't really get a good shot of the whole baby in one frame. (Six inches--huge!!) We've hit the big 10 ounce mark, and we'll get to a pound in just a few weeks. Everything is developing normally, the baby looks healthy. We can't see any physical abnormalities, and we have 10 fingers and 10 toes. The heart was strong, and I guess that's really all we have to repor. Baby's definitely growing and I'm getting fatter by the day. Hopefully it will start to look cute and round soon, so people don't think I'm just fat! this is the last scheduled ultrasound, so this should be the last photos of the baby until its birthday this spring. Hopefully its face fills out a bit by then!
