Second Ultrasound

Hello all!! We had a follow-up ultrasound today since last time we weren't quite as far along as they had guessed and they wanted to make sure the baby's heart was developing well. Boy did the baby ever show them what it can do! The heart rate was up from 113 last week to 176 today! S/he also moved a limb--the sonographer said she couldn't tell if it was an arm or a leg, but I think baby was waving to us. :) The baby's brain is starting to develop and it's head is about the size of it's body. It's getting close to an inch long, and everything looks great. All the tests came back good, so we'll have a monthly visit to the doctor for the next few months. The next sonogram will be around 20 weeks. Hopefully we'll figure out how to upload the sonogram video so you can all see today's. It's better than the one from last week, since you can tell a head from a body (not just one big blob) and since it moves :). Happy Wednesday!

Eight Weeks

Hello all! Today we're eight weeks pregnant. We had an ultrasound last Tuesday with our first doctor's appointment, and we're going in for a quick appoinment this Tuesday to check and make sure that the baby's heart is developing well. Hopefully we'll be able to post the video pretty soon. All we have to report now is that the baby seems to be doing well, and it is due on March 1, 2009. So far no problems with the pregnancy, no morning sickness or anything. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!!
